Are you sick to death of WWW pages that take too long to load?
Inspiration:
Our man on the mouse, Michael, came into our office just before Christmas
1998 and without any
preamble made a venom tinged statement: You lot can do your own ?^%&#!
(%^@) market surveys from now on! I've had it, that's it, no more Mr. nice
guy.
It transpired that Michael had had all he could take with ....s....l....o....w.... web sites, software beta programs and web spiders chucking the occasional spaz.
Out of this was born S.U.R.F. (we also lashed out and bought some shiny new software)
We firmly believe if just one in every 10,000 website designers began
to spread the message, in
a year or two there may well be a noticeable improvement in website
quality on the www.
Now that's a big call! To prove our moxy we have put our money and time where our mouth is.
Wish us luck, and spread the word: speeding up is simple. Achieving sub 10 second sites at 28.8K is easy. Think about tightening your own file size belt this year!
